Welcome back to school!!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful, fun and relaxing summer. We are excited to see our returning students as well as our new students moving up to our 6th grade.

We enjoyed our first year of inclusive playground equipment last year. The first two pieces (a four person swingset and OmniSpin) look awesome on our playground. By the end of September, phase two of our inclusive playground should be installed: an Oodle Swing, Topsy Turny and Roller Table. All pieces of our playground will be connected and we are having an ADA approved ramp installed. We are excited about our fundraisers that help us to make this dream of having an inclusive playground for children of all abilities. Our playground is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

We will be planting our fall crops as soon as possible in our garden. Sunflowers seeds are first on our list. The flowers we planted at the end of last year bloomed all summer long and were enjoyed by many of our GMS family who continue to work through the summer months. We continue to partner with Toomey's Kids for wonderful field trips and their generous donation to our class allows us to be involved in some wonderful activities.

Our Unique Curriculum program continues to provide wonderful learning experiences. We love working on our SmartBoard for Unique lessons, New 2 You and our morning calendar.

Once again, we will sell Sno-Kones during lunch - hopefully once each week. In keeping with the healthy nutrition guidelines, we will be serving sugar free Sno-Kones this year.  During the winter months we will be selling sugar free hot chocolate to the student body.

We will continue our trips to the Grand Strand Miracle League fields to play baseball with our friends from Georgetown High and Waccamaw High.

We continue to work each day on our Bulldog motto:

Responsible...Respectful...Courteous...and Kind!

Our year is going to be great!
