This is my 20th year of teaching.  I have taught 6th , 7th, and 8th grade Math at Beck Middle School and Georgetown Middle School.

I find it exciting to start a new year with students who are "the seniors" of Georgetown Middle School.

My goal is to make each student a productive, independant, thinker and problem solver.  To be confident in their abilites as they leave the middle school and start high school.

I was raised in Charleston, and spent the first 16 years of my life there.  I moved to Oklahoma and finished my senior year of high school.  I attended Tulsa Jr. College where I recieved an assoicate of arts degree.  I   recieved my bachelors's  degree from Northeastern State University  in Tahlequah Oklahoma. I then spent 2 years teaching elementary school for the Gallop McKinley County School System.  I lived and taught on the Navajo Indian reservation.  My daughter attended kindegarten on the reservation.  I returned to Oklahoma to start my graduate degree.  I recieved my master's degree of education in 1996.  Upon completing my graduate studies I decided to return to  South Carolina.  I was hired to teach Math at Beck Middle School. I have watched this school grow and change into Georgetown MIddle school.  I coach cheerleading for the b team here at GMS .  I also help my daughter coach the competitve cheerleading squad at Georgetown High School.  I enjoy the relaxing on the beach and spending time with my daughter.
