B.A. Sociology: Furman University 1990

M.A. Sports Administration: United States Sports Academy 1994

I started teaching at Sumter High School in Sumter, SC  (1992)

I then moved to Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, SC  before settling in at Georgetown Middle School.

I am starting my 15th year here at Georgetown Middle School "Where the Best get Better"

I was born in Cherry Point, N.C. (Marine Brat) I grew up in Sumter, S.C. where I played Football, Soccer and Track for the Sumter High Gamecocks. I went on to play football at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. We won 3 Southern Conference Championships and a National Championship (1988). I was voted an All-Conference Lineman 3 years and was an All-American in 1990. I have had the great honor of being elected into 3 different Athletic Hall of Fame groups (Sumter High School, Sumter County and Furman University)

I now live in Murrells Inlet, SC. My son Caleb (23) graduated from St. James High School in 2013 and I take great pride in the fact that he has grown into such a fine young man.

I work a part-time job at Ultimate California Pizza in Surfside Beach, SC and enjoy watching any sports, "The History Channel" and NCIS. I also enjoy reading a good book from time to time. I am always learning and want to find better ways to connect with my students. Teaching keeps me young and I couldn't be happier to be working with the great students at Georgetown Middle School.
