Highly Qualified in Middle School Mathematics 2005

I was born and have lived in South Carolina my entire life. I attended Socastee High School and received my teaching degree from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina in 1992. I have been married or 46 years to Gary Pierce from Murrells Inlet. I have two sons Robert(lives in Scotland), Jonathan Pierce back in Hawaii and a daughter Tara, who works at Blue Cross. My greatest asset is my granddaughter, Madeline, a 8th grader at St, James Middle School.

I began my teaching career at Choppee Middle School. There I taught special ed, 8th grade pre-algebra, 7th grade math and language arts. I taught at Choppee for five years and moved to Carvers Bay Middle when they consolidated Pleasant Hill and Choppee. At Carver's Bay I taught 7th grade pre-algebra, world geography and seventh grade math.

In 2006 I was very lucky to transfer to Georgetown Middle. Here I have taught 7th grade math and pre-algebra, 8th grade pre-algebra and 6th grade math. This year I am very lucky to be teaching 7th and 8th grade Pre-algebra math. This is truly is "Where The Best Get Better".
